Gettin' Paid for Being Awesome
I was notified today that I am to be the recipient of $2300 from the Literature and Creative Writing Middleton Creative Writing account. "We appreciate your hard work and academic excellence here at USC and hope this award will be beneficial to you as you continue with coursework and closing in your quals exams." The check will be mailed June 23rd. This is coming just in time because I wasn't going to be paid for June or July since my assistantship only runs 10 months out of the year (and no, there's no way to rearrange the payment schedule to receive less each month so I could be paid in those months).
Now I don't have to worry about scrambling for freelance jobs. I can *actually* use this money to work on my novel!
Hahaha! I'm getting paid to write my novel!
